You may have noticed via this blog or knowing me in other ways, I have the cutest nephew ever!
He is also a miracle. Lucas was born in September of 2010 with half a heart, a condition called HLHS. We were very lucky to live in Boston, home of the most amazing doctors and the best place to be with this condition.

Twenty months and two open heart surgeries later, Lucas is doing amazingly well. He is running and talking and melting the hearts of everyone he meets, including his doctors and nurses at Children’s.

I feel so lucky to live close to him and get to know him as he grows up. When I come over, he gets excited to see me and gives me snuggles, which is the most amazing feeling! If it wasn’t for his unbelievable mom and dad in conjunction with the incredible doctors at Children’s, there is very little chance that this wonderful child would be in my life.
On June 10th, my family and I are participating in the Walk for Children’s Hospital to say thanks and help support the amazing and life-changing work they do and the critical care they provide. We are currently in the fundraising phase and if you are inclined to sponsor me, every little bit helps. Check out my fundraising page here.
