In my house, we are huge coffee fans. In fact, on our counter we have three coffee makers, including this bad boy. When I first learned about the Keurig system, I was concerned about the quantity of waste that I would produce. Being conscious of this, I asked the folks over at Keurig what the company was doing to reduce the waste. They are definitely focused in this area (read about it here) and one simple way to avoid the waste is to use the My K-Cup, which you simply fill with your own ground coffee. Helping offset the waste generated through the K-Cups themselves is the efficiency of the machine, which uses far less water and electricity than a traditional coffee maker.

This is one of those things I never thought I’d buy, but after receiving it as a wedding present, it has been used so often! In the mornings, on my way out the door headed to school, it’s so nice to be able to brew one giant cup of coffee (there are 5 different size options!!)The new line of Brew Over Ice K-Cups make it equally appealing in the summer…just fill a glass to the top with ice, use a Brew Over Ice portion pack, brew whatever size you want, and enjoy!
