A Love Letter to the Berkshires

Phil and I took a mini-vacation out to North Adams, MA at the end of the week last week. We did some hiking, stayed at a really neat hotel, and checked out Mass MoCA. It was just the trip I needed. I love hiking, particularly when it is a bit challenging. The mental presence it requires to make your way quickly and efficiently through the woods is refreshing in the days of constant multi-tasking. As someone who constantly seeks the pause button on my internal monologue, this is an experience I always value.

As an added bonus, I came home to a surprise birthday party put together by my husband and a few friends. It was such a nice treat!

    I love white shorts (I’ve been wearing them all summer). I love hiking and I want to visit Massachusetts so badly… mostly for The House of the Seven Gables… It’s the librarian in me. :) Sounds like you had a great weekend!
