As I mentioned, I’m staring to think forward to my fall teacher wardrobe, so I was delighted with my recent Stitch Fix. The two pieces I decided to keep both transition well from summer to fall. If you haven’t checked it out, I highly recommend Stitch Fix; it’s a personal shopping/styling website and I’ve had so much fun with mine. Each time, I think they get my style a little bit more in addition to choosing things that push me out of my comfort zone. If you’re interested, use my referral link here to get on the wait list.
This top is one of those times when Stitch Fix took me out of my comfort zone and I love the result. The top is breezy and flattering, especially the way it cuts away near the hips. It makes me look narrow at my own personal widest part.
I think this would be a really fun out for drinks with friends outfit, or even a good option for a casual date night. I like the balance of the covered up, flowy top and short shorts. The older I get (and the more running I do) the more confident I feel in showing off my legs, and this outfit certainly does that!
I like this outfit for a night out, maybe going to the ballet or a show; change out the shoes and it would be a great teaching option as well.
I love the visual interest in the back of this top, the drape and the button back make it very interesting. It’s light weight but can be layered easily to transition it to fall and winter. I have a feeling this will be a bit of a workhorse in my wardrobe this year.
