You guys! I’m alive! Sorry for the unplanned blog vacation. The start of the school year is always a bit nuts. Add into that the puppy and the crazy amount of sewing I’ve been doing lately and this got unintentionally sidelined. But I’m back with a budget post. I’ve decided to do things a bit differently and have given myself a budget of $350 for the fall (aka September-November), so we’ll se how that goes. Here’s the damage this month:
- J.Crew Factory voile popover: $25 (down from $65)
- Forever 21 faux leather accent leggings: $17 (the ones above are not the exact pair but are similar)
- J.Crew Factory burgundy flats: $42 (down from $98)
- Toms Wedges: $84
- Gap Cords: $35 (down from $60)
- Philip Lim for Target Sweater: $39.99
Total for September: $242.99 ouch. Remaining budget: $157.01
I have to say, I thought I did better than this. Oh well. I’m loving all these pieces a lot and have already worn most of them several times. Except the leather leggings. Those were just for fun.

This weekend, two of our dearest friends got married and my husband actually got to go with me! (He’s a musician so he often is either playing the wedding, or playing another wedding.) We had a great time dancing and eating donuts. I may or may not have been changing the lyrics of all the songs to “donuts” (I did.). Also, my hair is finally actually getting long! And, the weather this weekend was absolutely beautiful. Happy Monday, all.

Back to school! Got a comfy dress, my glasses, and my kickbutt new knapsack. Seriously, I love this thing! And, I’m too tired for words. Yep, must be back in school.
